I know color correctors have been largely popular in the beautu community for a while, but I never took the time to use one until maybe the last month or so. I have hyper pigmentation around my eyes and mouth and have really noticed a difference when I color correct with an orange lipstick before applying concealer. Get more details below.
I have been using NYX's Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick to cancel out my hyper pigmentation. In the above left photo you can see how it looks blended out and when it is first applied. The photo of the right is my complete makeup look. I only used concealer and powder. In the past, you could still a bit of hyper pigmentation peeking through even after I applied my concealer. Take a look at the step-by-step process below.
Primer: Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer
Color Corrector: NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick
Concealer : Iman Cover Cream in Earth 6 (all over face)
Brows: Anastasia Dip Brow in Dark Brown
Powder: Lorac Wet Dry Powder in Deep 6
Cheeks: Mary Kay Blush in Desert Sand
Lips: Maybelline Color Elixir in Signature Scarlet
