CVS has released their own beauty brand, Makeup Academy. The range features an assortment of lip products, lashes, and brushes. Get more information below.
The offerings are offered at an affordable price point: $25 and under. Lip products are broken down into sheer lip balms ($7), tinted lip balms ($5), intense color moisture balms ($7), and shea butter infused lip crayons ($7) and lipsticks in four different finishes. The lipsticks are offered in high shine finishes ($8), matte finishes ($9), shimmer finishes ($8), and velvet liquid lipsticks ($9). Not a lipstick girl? Lip glosses are offered with sparkle ($7) and shine ($8).
Accessory products include a lip exfoliator ($5) and lip primer ($5). There is mention of a lip stain (which I don't see how they can greatly differ from the lip crayons) and lip liners, both for $8.
MUA has two lash categories: Glamour and Natural, bot priced at $5. The lash adhesive comes in black and clear options, retailing for $5. They even offer a three piece kit equipped with strip lashes, adhesive, and a placement tool, all for just $9. The individual lash kit rings in at a dollar more.
The MUA brush collection has fifteen options. They are broken down into the $20 plus travel, and $25 starter kits. The brands claims their standout brushes are the BB/CC cream brush (pictured above in center), an $8 retractable lip brush (pictured above on left), and a $15 mineral brush (pictured above on right).
