I'm an avid "pinner". I LOVE Pinterest. I pinned a flourless banana recipe a while back. While on my journey to a healthier and cleaner diet, I jumped at the notion that I didn't have to give up my beloved pancakes. The recipe only calls for a few ingredients: 1 banana, two eggs, cinnamon and vanilla extract. It was an easy to follow recipe. Check below to see step-by-step pictures and my thoughts on the dish!
I'm often asked for makeup and fashion advice from family, friends, and sometimes strangers. I thought I'd share the questions and answers in hopes it will possibly help some of you. I answer based in my personal knowledge and experiences. Check out the first question below.

Model turned mogul, Iman has stepped into the technology arena with a beauty app. The app is for Apple products only (we hope just for now), so for us android users, we won't get the luxury of experiencing it. The perks include, color matching, virtual lipstick try on sessions, exclusive product sneak peaks, and much more. Get more info at www.imancosmetics.com.
I've done it, and you've done it. We've smelled a product before even reading it's claims. We've been turned off or on just because of how something smells. We've used products more than others because all we really wanted to do is smell it. Working in the cosmetics industry, I've seen first hand just how important and time consuming choosing a fragrance can be. I aim to produce educational posts alongside the fashion and beauty articles, and what a great way to start 2014 than to spread a little knowledge about our nose. I found this simple yet educational video on The Chemists Corner website, and it's all about our nose and the role it plays in our daily lives. Enjoy!
I'm single, in my 20's, and living in the city, not New York city, but a large city below the Mason Dixon line.I can honestly say I've heard at least nine of these comments. I love the humor behind the video. How many of you have heard or said these things? Enjoy!
It's the 20th Anniversary year of Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress, and Diane is showing all of us that she still got it! I love how she collaborated with raper Wale. The snapshot will be featured in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar.
I saw this yesterday on Instagram and I had to share. Who better to turn a edgy biker jacket into a handbag? Leave it to designer Jeremy Scott. He rolled out the unique arm wear under the Moschino label. The bags will be apart of the Italian label's Pre-Fall 2014 collection. If the bag above seems to rough around the edges for your taste, check below for more feminine versions.
EBONY Magazine did not stop at one cover for February 2014, they released two! The Anthony's are sharing an issue with the Cannons, Nick and Mariah Cannon that is. February is going to be the month of interviews!
Few realize the impact of Pantone's yearly chosen color. Nail polishes, clothes, and accessories will flood the stores in shades of purple. Mark my words. While orchid is typically a spring color anyway, you can always tell when something is popular for the season, because it pops up everywhere. Can't wait to incorporate it into my wardrobe.
In today's makeup guide, we are discussing foundations. I've tried many a foundation there are only a handful I'd recommend from the drugstore. While modern technologies have allowed drugstore foundations to rival those at the department store, few can last more than a few hours. I've curated a list of the ones I have tried, repurchased, and would recommend that you try. See more below.
The second installment of Diva's MakeupGuide for Beginners is all about primers. A primer is a product that is used before foundation to act as barrier between the skin and the makeup. There are numerous primers in many forms, so choosing one could be understandably overwhelming. While, many high end primers perform great, there are some gems in the drugstore for those getting their feet wet in the makeup pool. They are inexpensive so there is little guilt if it doesn't work out. Check the details out below!
