The Latest In Fashion News: Illegal Guns Repurposed in Fab Jewelry??

 
Peter Thum, entrepreneur and founder of Ethos Water and Fonderie 47, has is set to debut a an accessories label with a social initiative. Liberty United mission is to charge fashion designers to design accessories using the recycled  metal  from illegal firearms. Liberty United's goal is to take illegal guns off the streets of American Cities and fund programs that aim to reduce gun violence in America.

Designer Pamela Love
 
Pamela Love will serve as guest designer for the label, designed bracelets, rings and pendants for the brand for this upcoming fall season. She will recreate her most popular pieces, including her Aeternum ringcuff and pendant, inlay cage, and talon cuff, out of reclaimed gunmetal, brass bullet casings, blackened and stainless steel and 14-karat gold. All of the pieces will have the serial numbers of the unlicensed firearms.
