Foodie Chronicles: Homemade Kale Chips

So I decided to try my hand at making homemade kale chips after seeing numerous blog posts online. I'm aiming for  healthier lifestyle, I gave this chip alternative a try. On my local grocery run, I picked up a small  bundle of kale and was excited to give a new treat a try.


I first washed the kale and layed them to dry.

I the tore the leaves off the stems, dipped them in olive oil, and placed them on a cookie sheet. Once all the leave were on a cookie sheet, I seasoned them with oregano (see first pic). I baked the kale for about ten minutes at 350 degrees.



Results

I really wanted to like kale chips, but they literally tasted like leaves, dried leaves. I don't know if I scorched them, but they were not appetizing. I have some left, so I'll give it another try, and if it doesn't work, that's it!
