Juices and Smoothies: Homemade Bolthouse Green Goodness

L to R:  Homemade "Green Goodness", Bolthouse Green Goodness

I enjoy a ggreat tasting, healthy drink. My go-to brand is Bolthouse. The brand provides an assortment of flavors packed with fruits, veggies, and grains,  providing you with vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Before I finished off my large bottle of Green Goodness, I decided to try my hand at recreating the recipe.
While my homemade version is mot as green as it's mass market counterpart, I still found it tasty.  Lets compare ingredients shall we!

Bolthouse Green Goodness (52 fl oz)
Homemade Version
  • 6 Apples
  • 2 Kiwi Fruits
  • 3 1/2 Mangos
  • 1 2/3 Bananas
  • 1 1/4 Pineapples
  • Spirulina
  • Natural Flavor
  • Chlorella
  • Zince Sulphate
  • Green Tea
  • Spinach
  • Broccoli
  • Vitamin C
  • Barley Grass
  • Wheat Grass
  • Echinacea
  • Garlic
  • Blue Green Algae
  • Jerusalem Artichoke
  • Lemon Bioflavenoid
  • NoNova Scotia Dulse

·         1 Apple
·         1 Banana
·         1 Cup of Spinach
·         1 Cup Orange Juice

My ingredient list is not as extensive, an I kind of like it that way. I used what I had in my kitchen, and it only took about ten minutes for prep and blending. I might play with it to mask the banana more, but other than that, I'm happy with the first results. I'm not cheating on Bolthouse just yet.
