Diva Hauls: Black Radiance Lipsticks and Lipglosses

Lipsticks (l to r): African Violet, Hibiscus
Lipglosses (l to r): Rasberry, Violet

Yes, as you can see I made another trip to my local drugstore. It's not my fault I bought these. I was actually on the hunt for nail polishes from the Julie G collection and since they are not retailed in my area, I wondered down the make up aisle. What a happy coincidence?

As you can see, I added two more lipsticks to my ever growing Black Radiance lipstick collection. I also decided to try out two of their Perfect Tone lipglosses. Check out my first impressions and swatches below.

African Violet

This is a pink with a strong purple undertone. It has buildable coverage and lands on the vibrant side of lipstick shades.

It was only a matter of time before I came across a Black Radiance lipstick that disappointed. I was excited to see Hibiscus because it appeared to be a vibrant coral shade that I could sport this spring and summer. The swatch above is about three swipes of the lipstick. It is very sheer and splotchy. It reminds me more of a lipstain than a lipstick, which is more than likely how I'll wear it.

This is my first purchase of the Black Radiance Perfect Tone lipgloss from the line. The swatch above has multi-colored shimmer and does not apply as opaque as the swatch depicts. This lipgloss is very similar to Milani's lipgloss in Fashion Diva. The Perfect Tone glosses will make great toppers for lipsticks or lip liners.

This Perfect Tone gloss  was  purchased to accompany the Hibiscus lipstick. The application is not opaque as the swatch but will wear nicely in conjunction with a lipstick or lip liner.
