The Latest in Beauty News: Iman Cosmetics Releases BB Cream

Look what I found at my local Walgreens?! They are many cosmetic companies both high, mid, and low on the price totem pole that have jumped on the BB cream bandwagon within the past year. I've tried the Maybelline BB Cream and it left me less than impressed. Iman's BB Cream, however, has got me a little excited to try.
First, the Iman line is staying true to it's target audience and offering TEN shades for women of color, ranging from light olive shades to dark shades including six varying shades of brown. I was thankful to see that I had to option of finding my shade in store without paying for the product. I have a mini review below based on what I swatched on my hand.
Shade: Earth Deep
Price:$20 (well within Iman's price range, which is a "higher end" drugstore range)
Shade Range: 10 (the most I've seen from any BB cream offerings of any price range)
Coverage:It appears to be medium to semi full coverage and seems to be buildable. Notice the difference between the back of my hand and my wrist. Notice how smooth the back of my hand
Texture: It is a very smooth product that spreads nicely. It did not feel cakey on my hand and felt slightly tacky while drying. Once dry, my hand felt like skin and there was no transfer. It reminds me Iif a thinner Revlon Colorstay in terms of application.
The brand makes the following claims:
- Protects skin with SPF 15 and natural antioxidants
- Evens skin with skin tone evener, acai, licorice, and grape deed
- Compliments skin of color with a hint of pigment
- Hydrates with kokum, almond, aloe, and vitamins A, C, and E
- Compatible with all Iman foundations and powders
- Paraben free
So will you try it? Let me know.
