Beauty Discussion: Skincare, Keeping it Simple
I have revamped my skin care routine! Out with the old, in with the simple! That is not to say my old routine did not work for me, there were just too many products involved. So now, three is my magic number. I have been using the following products regularly for at least the last three months. Read on to find out more info.
Aloe Vera Gel has many using, sunburn relief being the most popular. However, when you turn the bottle around, you will see it can be used as a moisturizer, shaving gel, hair gel, and it even claims to even skin tone. I originally bought this product to serve as a hair gel, and my hair laughed at me for even attempting to lay it down with the stuff. Never being one to want to waste a dollar, I tried it out as my daily moisturizer I haven't looked back since! This can be found at just about any grocery or drug store between $3-5.
To remove extra dirt my wash cloth and cleanser did not remove, I use Swan Witch Hazel. I found this gem at my local Dollar Tree and have been hooked every since. I apply it before moisturizing with a cotton ball. Afterwords my skin is squeaky clean and toned!
For a deep cleaning, I turn to the product I've been using since high school, St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I use this about one to two times a week depending on how much make up I wear. The small apricot shell bits really get in your pores and remove the excess dirt. After the exfoliation, your skin feels smooth and refreshed. I can't live without this stuff. A little goes a long way, so a tube will last quite a while. I'm no stranger to the generic brand of this product either, I've found it works just as well when I had to buy a local store's brand.
SN: My facial cleanser is not shown because I have yet to find a favorite :(. The hunt continues.
Hope my skin care story helped you. What is your skincare routine?
